Fern Loraine Rincker, 92, of Windsor, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Hawthorne Inn Assisted Living in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 18 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with Pastor Gary Fortkamp officiating.  Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery in Windsor.  Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.  Memorials may be made in Loraine’s name to the Windsor FFA, 1424 Minnesota Avenue, Windsor, IL, 61957 or the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be left by clicking here.

Loraine was born August 18, 1926, in Coles County, the daughter of Herb and Fern (Logue) Robinson. She married the love of her life, Carl Rincker June 2, 1945 and he preceded her in death September 12, 1999. Loraine attended Greenwood School in Ashmore Township.  The Coles County Historical Society moved the Greenwood School to the Eastern Illinois University Campus in 1975. Loraine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg. She farmed along side her husband raising cattle, hogs and working the fields. She loved quilting, gardening and cooking for her family.  

Surviving are her children: Connie (Rodney) Denham of Strasburg, Mary Lou (Denny) Pine of Martinsville, Russell (Gail) Rincker of Windsor, and Carolyn Rincker of Pontiac; grandchildren:  Christine Matlock of Shelbyville, Ryan Denham of Benton, Dr. Denise Pine Mattas of Marshall, Danette Young of Paris, Derek Pine of Paris, Rory Rincker of Windsor, Rusty Rincker of Windsor, and Amanda Syfert of Pontiac, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Fern Robinson; husband, Carl Rincker; brother, Junior Robinson and grandson, Robert Todd Shafer.
