Vera Fern (McKinney) Morrison Wiley, age 98, of Dieterich, Illinois, and formerly of Newton, and Bogota, Illinois, passed away 10:51 AM - Thursday, June 27, 2019, at her home. 

Private family services will be held with burial in the Johnson Family Cemetery in rural Wheeler, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. Online condolences may be left by clicking here

Vera was born on June 10, 1921, in Bogota, Illinois, the daughter of Willie and Lucy (Clark) McKinney.  Vera owned and operated the Morrison Café in Newton for several years and was also a waitress. She was a member of the Latona Church of Christ, Urbana American Legion, Olney Eagles and the Moose club.  Vera enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family.

Vera is survived by:

Daughters – Tanya Johnson of Wheeler, Illinois; Mary Dempsey of Murrieta, California and Janice DeAlexandro of Dieterich, Illinois

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Sue Ann Morrison; great grandson Tony Johnson; sons-in-law Ronnie Johnson, Bob Green and Fred DeAlexandro; brother Robert McKinney and sisters Ellarae Rauch and Lucille Chesnut.
