Jerry Neil Limes, age 85, of Farina, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, with his family at his side, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital Effingham, Illinois.
No services will be held at this time. A private family graveside service will be held at later date. Memorials may be made to the Effingham County Humane Society or donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com
Jerry was born April 15, 1934 in Hord, Illinois, the son of Ray S. Limes and Virgie A. (Hord) Limes. He married Zola F. Scoles on April 28, 1956, in Effingham, Illinois and they shared 63 years together. He loved and cared for his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jerry worked as a driller in the oilfield. Jerry loved coon hunting, mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening, mowing and keeping his yard looking nice.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Zola of Farina, Illinois; two sons, Jerry Dean Limes of Houston, Texas, Timothy Ray (wife, Davina) of DeRidder, Louisiana; one daughter, Donna Faye (husband, Steve) Bible of Louisville, Illinois; one sister; Marguarite Louder of Edgewood, Illinois; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson.
Jerry was preceded in death by stillborn son, Gregory Neil Limes; his parents, Ray and Virgie Limes; two brothers, Norman Limes and Larry Limes; three sisters, Jean Birch, Juanita Murry, Vivian George.
