Dorothy Lux (70) of Altamont

Dorothy M. Lux, 70, of Altamont, Illinois died at 2:55 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the

Dorothy was born Friday, April 8, 1949 to Harold F. and Geraldine A. (Meyer) Lange. She married Dale E. Lux December 22, 1965 and they celebrated over 47 years of marriage prior to his death January 3, 2013. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Altamont. Prior to her retirement from World Color Press she had been the Human Resources Director. She enjoyed playing fastpitch softball and bowling and had been active with organizing the tee-ball and little league programs at Gilbert Park in Altamont.

She is survived by her sons; Scott Lux of Nederland, CO and Brent Lux (Jennifer) of Hoffman Estates, IL, mother, Geraldine Lange of Altamont, sisters; Linda Sullens (Mike) of Gulf Shores, AL, Ruth Dennis (Steve) of Mt. Zion, Kim Smith (Ron) of Altamont and Bev Lee of Altamont, brother, Larry Lange, grandson; Zachary Lux (Braea); granddaughters, Malia, Kaia, Sienna Lux, great grandson, Ryder Lux.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, husband and a sister, Caroline Lange in infancy.
