Agnes C. Ruholl, 86, of Teutopolis, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2019.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday with a 7:00 p.m. CCW Rosary all at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or the E. Agnes was born on December 29, 1932 in St. Francis Township, Effingham County, IL, the daughter of Ferd and Helen (Vahling) Breer. She was united in marriage to Ambrose A. Ruholl on August 23, 1952 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2014.

Agnes was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She retired from St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and spent time helping her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Agnes enjoyed gardening, watching the hummingbirds, and reading. She especially loved when her grandchildren came to visit and shared their stories with her.

Agnes is survived by her children, Linda Hess of Decatur, Mark (Sharon) Ruholl of Poseyville, IN, Alan (Jackie) Ruholl of Louisville, Becky (Jim) McLeod of Effingham, and Gina (Ted) Pals of Arnold, MO; grandchildren, Tisha and Brandon Hess, Melissa (Dustin) Westjohn, Tiffany (Tyson) Emmerich, Megan Miller, Micha (Adam) Floyd, Ashleigh Crockett, Andy (Alicia) McLeod, Kayla (Michael) Finley, and Zach McLeod; great-grandchildren, Hunter Denton, Brian Hess, Jarrett Squires, Stevie Robinson, Bryar Roedl, Braxton Bloemer, Austyn Westjohn, Whitley Emmerich, Patience Crockett, Nash and Jade McLeod, and Sam Finley; siblings, Leona Willenborg, Florence (Art) Kinkelaar, Clarence (Carol) Breer, Paul (Donna) Breer, Kathy (Jerry) Hendrickson, and Kay Breer; and brothers-in-law, Bernie (Dorothy) Ruholl and Allie (Dorothy) Ruholl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ambrose, daughter, Darlene; grandson, Mark A. Ruholl Jr.; brother, Joseph Breer; sister, Theresa Overbeck; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Virgil Willenborg, Leroy Overbeck, Florence (Louis) Bushur, Millie (Paul) Thoele, and Della, Alice, and Henry Ruholl.
