Anne Black, age 75, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 AM Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Newton Care Center.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM –Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Dwight McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, Illinois.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Newton Care Center, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Anne was born on September 19, 1943, in Greenup, IL, the daughter of Hiram Earnest Denny and Dorothy (Fox) Denny. She worked for United Technologies, then in security for CIPS.  She enjoyed embroidering. 

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, 2 nephews and a great niece.

She is survived by: Her son Eric Black of Albion, Illinois. Two daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila and Paul Titsworth of Robinson, Joann and Robert Greenwell of Evansville, Indiana. Two sisters: Ruth Eastep of Newton and Hazel Lane of Hampstead, Texas. Five grandchildren: Ariel (Anthony) Cook, Sierra (Dustin) Laugel, Kelsea Smith, Damian (Rachael) Black, and David Black. Six great grandchildren: Issabella Cook, Hunter Cook, Chloe Cook, Benson Cook, Parker Black, and Owen Stark, and Nieces and Nephews.
