Richard Paul Martin, Sr. (74) of rural Neoga

Richard Paul Martin, Sr., 74, of rural Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 8:11 A.M. Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois.

He was born December 13, 1944, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of Wayne and Ada Ann (Dudenhoffer) Martin. Richard married Nancy Bottom, January 13, 2015, in Charleston, Illinois. He enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, animals and anything outdoors.

Richard leaves his wife Nancy Martin of rural Neoga, Illinois; three sons, Richard "Paul" Martin Jr., (Fiancee, Ann Marvin) of Chicago, Illinois, Jeremy Wayne Martin (Jennifer) of Hobart, Indiana, Brian Amos Martin of Miami, Florida; one daughter, Tammie Jeanine Lakatos (Andrew) of Lake Station, Indiana: one step-daughter, Angel Barkley of Mattoon, Illinois; one Brother, Sam Hagedorn of Wisconsin; thee sisters, Bonnie Jarczyk (Felix) of Illinois, Hope Mannion (Dennis) of New Hampshire and Marlene Wright (John) of Washington: eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, "Al" and Ken Martin; one sister, Mae "Moe" Brenton.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 20 in the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois, with Pastor Mel Workman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A. M. Sunday until service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
