Donald W. Weakly, 90, of Shelbyville, Illinois passed away at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, Illinois.

Don was born on August 8, 1928, in Ridge Township in Shelby County, the son of Otis and Mable (Yost) Weakly. Don and Marilyn Eversole were united in marriage on September 28, 1946 and enjoyed 71 wonderful years together before her passing on January 14, 2018. Don farmed his entire life in Shelby County, enjoyed his family and playing softball in his younger years. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Westervelt.

Surviving are sons: Gary Weakly and wife Carolyn of Bloomington and Steve Weakly and wife Cheryl of Shelbyville; three grandchildren: Andrea Tilford and husband Mark of Normal, Brian Weakly of Bloomington and Josh Weakly and wife Kaleena of Shelbyville; five great-grandchildren: Justin, Kelli and Kerry Tilford and Jax and Knox Weakly; brothers-in-law: Dwayne Eversole and wife Margery of Shelbyville, Donald Eversole and wife Shirley of Shelbyville and Larry Eversole and wife Sharon of Assumption.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Marilyn; brothers: Cecil and Carl Weakly; sisters: Dorothy Shuff, Evelyn Scrogin, Eunice Weakly and Betty Weakly.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Ron Newman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church or the Westervelt Christian Church.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Bowers and the nurses and staff at the Shelbyville Manor and the Villas of Holly Brook for the wonderful care provided to Don.
