Agnes Rose Fuesting (87) of Effingham

Agnes Rose Fuesting, 87 of Effingham passed away Monday afternoon, November 26, 2018 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, surrounded by her loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 6:30 p.m. rosary. Memorial donations may be given to the donor’s choice. Agnes was born August 30, 1931 in Green Creek, the daughter of August and Katherine (Wesselman) Mette. She married Anthony Charles Fuesting on January 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1991. Agnes was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, Sacred Heart Alter Sodality, the Secular Franciscans and Daughters of Charity. She enjoyed volunteering at Second Hand Rose and Catholic Charities for 25 years.

Agnes was survived by her children, Steve of Effingham, Bernice Tucker of Warren, MI, Diane (David) Krampe of Sigel, Ralph (Teresa) of Mason, Dale (Paula) of Haubstadt, IN and Lester (Maggie) of St. Marie; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Huston; son-in-law, Elmer Tucker; siblings, Roman, August, Aloysius, Mary Katherine (infant), Bernard, Joseph, Thomas (infant) and Helen Bradford Hughes.
