Helen L. Kull, 93, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL at 6:30 p.m.

Helen was born May 4, 1925, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Elmer and Retha (Pierson) Hoke. She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1943. Helen and Donald E. Kull were united in marriage on May 3, 1947 and were blessed with 69 years of marriage before his passing on June 12, 2016. Helen retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in Ladies Aid for many years and volunteered her time at the Shelbyville Manor. Helen and Don enjoyed traveling with friends and spending time with their loved ones.

Surviving are son, Eric (Suzie) Kull of Shelbyville; daughter, Donna Mueller of Shelbyville; granddaughters: Amy (Brian) Finley of Charleston, Angela (Henry) Stephens of Shelbyville; Erica (Derrick) Hardy of Shelbyville; grandson, Jake (Riley) Kull of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren: Zachary and Macayla Finley, Rory and Tori Stephens, Taetym Gatton, Kinley and Jasper Hardy and Cooper Kull; brother-in-law, Kenneth Kull of Shelbyville.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, sisters Betty Weakly and Germane Hoke.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Reverend Jan Lawson officiating. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelbyville.
