Gerald B. Benham age 76 of Elkhart, Indiana formerly of Jasper County, IL passed away Saturday, October, 20, 2018 at Woodland Manor in Elkhart.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25 at the Mound Cemetery, Jasper County, Illinois with Rev. Steve Willis officiating. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery.
Gerald was born on August 1, 1942 in West Chicago, Illinois the son of Belden and Dorothy (Hornback) Benham. A graduate of Newton High School, Gerald enlisted into the U.S. Army. For many years, Gerald was a truck driver delivering RV’s from the Elkhart area.
Survivors include brother-in-law John Fitts of Wendell, NC, two nephews and many cousins.
His parents, sisters Ina Fitts and Dorothy “Geri” Robinson, and nephew Jay Fitts preceded him in death.
