Dale Kuhlig, 86, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Flora Gardens, Flora.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12 at 10 a.m. at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville with Carroll Ross and Dallas Bear officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home. There will be military rites as he was a veteran of the Army in World War II. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville. Memorials may be made to Bethel Christian Church. Online condolences may be left by clicking here.
Dale was born January 8, 1927 in Clay County, the son of Charles W. and Hazel "Gammon" Kuhlig. He married Dorothy June Atchison June 19, 1948 in Flora and she survives. He was a farmer and a member of Bethel Christian Church where he served as a deacon and elder. He loved antique tractors and restoring cars with his sons.
Surviving are sons, Gary (wife Cheryl) Kuhlig of Louisville and Dan (wife Sherry) Kuhlig of Flora; daughter, Diana (husband Steve) Hatton of Vincennes, Ind.; three grandchildren, Kim (husband Dr. Harry) Carter of Fairfield, Adrien (husband Chuck) McFadden of Lincoln and Matthew (wife Bethany) Kuhlig of Flora and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Kuhlig and Lyle Kuhlig and nephew, Ray Kuhlig.
