Lillian May Powers, 86, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Reverend Jan Lawson officiating. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in her name to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Lillian was born on March 30, 1932, in Pana, the daughter of Everett and Lucille (King) Bryson. She and Leland James Powers were united in marriage on April 16, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2004. Lillian loved to do embroidery, work on the farm and treasured time spent with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her ice tea and potato salad. Lillian was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shelbyville.

She is survived by sons: Douglas (Wendy) Powers of Shelbyville and Keith (Mary) Powers of Little Rock, AR; daughters: Karen (Fred) Blethroade of Mattoon and Sandra (Joe) Kachnic of Liverpool, NY; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; stepsister, Diane (Larry) Getz of Pana and half-sister, Sharon (Ron) Nuzzio of Sullivan.

Preceding her death were her parents, Everett and Lucille Bryson; husband, Leland; brothers: Frank and Bill Bryson; half-brother, Marion Bryson and her beloved dog, Buddy.
