Shirley A. Warner, 81, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at her home.

According to Shirley’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.

Online condolences may be shared by clicking here. Shirley was born on November 28, 1936, in Chrisman, IL, the daughter of Albert F. and Susie M. (Ward) Miller. She was united in marriage to Alfred F. Luckey on March 29, 1954 and to this union five children were born. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1965. She later married Robert S. Warner in 1971 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1994.                          

Shirley was fun-loving and energetic. She was a certified nursing assistant for 34 years at various nursing homes. She loved reading, dancing, and doing crosswords and crafts. Shirley also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, Michael A. Luckey Sr. of Effingham, James R. (Margaret) Luckey of Palm Bay, FL, and Tracy E. (Donnie) McConkey of Palm Bay, FL; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Garnet Blue of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Gail Miller of Chrisman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Paul Alfred Luckey; daughter, Peggy Ann Luckey; 1 sister; 5 brothers; and 1 great-granddaughter, Jenna.
