Louise A. Stoldt, 95, of Altamont, died at 10:59 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Aperion Care, St. Elmo.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Shumway with Rev. Carol Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Louise was born on Monday, July 9, 1923 in Britton, Michigan to Ferdinand and Marie Anna (Loesch) Roehrs. She married Emil Arthur Stoldt on September 28, 1945 in Napoleon, Ohio and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1995. In addition to raising her family, she was an assistant cook at the Shumway Grade School, worked at the Illinois Glove Factory, Effingham and assisted her husband with Stoldt Repair, Shumway. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Shumway and volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels, Braille Quilts, was a life member of the Gieseking-Schwerdtfeger VFW Post 7676 Auxiliary, Altamont, and had been the Shumway Village Treasurer for 16 years.

She is survived by her son, Robert Charles (Denise) Stoldt of Middleburg, FL; daughter, Amy Lou (Harold) Frailey of Beecher City; sisters, Ruth Miller of Ft. Myers, FL, Norma Dawson of California and Helen Davis of Port Charlotte, FL; 4 grandchildren, Derrick Frailey, Daphne (Aaron) Gullett, Amelia Stoldt Hebert, and Melinda Stoldt; 8 great grandchildren, Katrina, Madalyn, Connor, Danielle, Brianna, Justin, Hannah, and Lacey; 3 great-great grandchildren, Tyler, Kayzee, and Wrynlee.

In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother Charles Roehrs.
