Helen Mildred Tate, 88, formerly of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her daughters Carolyn Wagner and Rita Hamilton, husband Ralph, parents, and siblings.

She is survived by her sons Ramon and Ruby Tate (David, Chris, and Justin), Ronald and SamSu Tate (Jill and Sunny), Russell and Janet Tate (Jacob, Katie, Zachary, Cody, and James), Ralph Jay and Christy Tate.  Children of her daughters Kim and Jason Niebrugge, Aaron Wagner, Megan and Matthew Strong, Tate and Sarah Hamilton, Morgan and Sam Knobeloch. Her son-in-law Kenneth Hamilton, 15 great grandchildren plus 2 more on the way, numerous nieces and nephews. Along with many others that considered her Grandma Tate including Dannielle and Clinton Hestand, Michael and McKenzie Resczenski, Abigail and Evan Kern.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 1 in New Hope Church in Effingham, IL. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Church in Effingham and will be accepted at the church or the funeral home.
