Rena “June” Kidwell, 88, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

June was born on March 16, 1930, in Jasper County, IL, the daughter of Merritt E. and Ethel C. (Whitehurst) Bower. She was united in marriage to Ralph Kidwell in 1948, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2015. June was a member of Hord Christian Church and attended Funkhouser Methodist Church where she served as pianist for twenty years.
She is survived by a brother; and a sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.
