Charles Cable, 77, of Pin Bush, New York, formerly of Effingham died on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham.

He was born in Effingham, the son of Philip M. and Roselin Cable. He was a 1959 graduate of St. Anthony High School in Effingham. He was a lifelong farrier, shoeing in Columbus, Ohio, Batavia, New York, Hamburg, New York and ending up at the Oldest Historic Track in Goshen, New York. One of his best-known accomplishments was getting the World Championship with his quarterhorse Revenues Dancer.

Survivors include friend Mary Shallenberger...sons, Tim and Tom Cable...granddaughter, Charlee Rae Cable...brothers, Philip H., Raymond Sr. and Leon Cable...and sisters, Ruth Ann Bales and Marilyn Thomas, along with several nieces and nephews.
