Ron Rentfrow, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Effingham died at 10pm Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Corpus Christi.
He was a longtime Effingham City Police Department member and served as police chief for several years.
The body will be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
