Isabel Mary Clark, age 96, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 PM – Sunday, January 28, 2018, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial in Effingham, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM – Saturday, February 3 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery in rural Willow Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the mass in church. In loving memory of Isabel, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Isabel was born on October 29, 1921, in the Bend, Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Chancey Lee and Fannie Frances (Michl) Harris. She married John K. Manning and he preceded her in death in 1965. She married Howard E. Clark in 1975 and he preceded her in death in 1984. Isabel worked at E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory in Newton, Illinois, for 18 years and had worked at Jake’s Smorgasbord in rural Willow Hill, Illinois. Isabel was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and working puzzles.

Isabel is survived by: Grandson – Randy (Linda) Manning of Newton, Illinois; Great Grandchildren – Christina (Jason) Gaultney of Mt. Carmel, IL and Shawn Manning of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; Great Great Grandchildren – Halle Gaultney, Chelsey Boulb and Jase Manning.

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son Daniel E. Manning, brothers Victor, Arthur, Chester and Andrew Harris and a sister Dorothy Dhom.
