Lorna L. Berg, 88, of St. Elmo, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Aperion Care, St. Elmo.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Altamont with Rev. Marcus Manley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont and for one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Cemetery or the donor’s choice.

Lorna was born on Tuesday, April 2, 1929 in rural St. Elmo, Effingham County to August F. and Alma (Mercier) Berg. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of LWML and AAL (Thrivent). She worked at Paradees Dairy Rich in St. Elmo and retired from Owens-Brockway, Vandalia.

She is survived by her sister Hilma Berg of St. Elmo and several nieces and nephews.

Lorna was preceded in death by her parents and brothers William, Arnold and Raymond Berg.
