Andrew P. Ruholl, 79, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home in Lillyville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lillyville, with burial in the church cemetary. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church, with a 4:00 p.m. parish rosary. Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.

Andrew was born February 9. 1938 in Cumberland County, the son of Leo and Mary (Rieman) Ruholl. He married Elizabeth A. “Betty” Deters on August 13, 1960 and she survives. Andrew was a lifelong farmer, carpenter, and served with the United States National Guard. He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lillyville. He loved playing cards, gardening, taking walks to the Home Place, and spending time with friends and relatives. He always had a soft spot for babies; most recently, his great-grandchildren were the light of his life.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Betty, of Lillyville; two sons, Dan (Jill) Ruholl of Teutopolis and Dennis (friend, Kathie) Ruholl of Lillyville ; three daughters, Karen (Chris) Jansen of Sigel, Karla (Doug) Probst of Teutopolis, and Kathy Ruholl of Lillyville; brother, Arthur (Linda) Ruholl of Teutopolis; sister, Loretta Koester of Lillyville; sister-in-law, Anna Ruholl of Teutopolis; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Herrmann, Dustin Ruholl, Beth Brummer, Chad Jansen, Becky Schumacher, Brooke Dirks, Brianna Waldhoff, Ted Jansen, Todd Jansen, Ellie Ruholl, and Dane Ruholl; five great-grandchildren, Drasen Ruholl, Kinley Brummer, Lydia Schumacher, Albert Herrmann, and Celia Dirks.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Daniel Ruholl; two brothers, Lawrence Ruholl and Leonard Ruholl; three sisters, Irene Niemerg, Lucille Goeckner, and Christine Koester.
