Nancy Phillips Reynolds, 70, of Effingham, IL, formerly of Stewardson, IL, unexpectedly passed away in her home on Thursday, December 21, 2017.

We will celebrate the life of Nancy Phillips Reynolds on Friday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stewardson United Methodist Church, 216 S. Cedar St., Stewardson, IL with a lunch to follow at the Stewardson Community Building. Everyone is invited. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Memorials can be given to Fear Nothing or to the family’s discretion.

Nancy was born on September 6, 1947 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Suzanne (Wilson) Phillips. Nancy was a graduate of Stew-Stras High School. She went on to work in cosmetology and had her own hair salon for many years. Nancy was a member of the Stewardson Night Home Extension. She had a love of cooking that led her to work for the Timbers and in recent years at Witt’s Smokehouse. Nancy was a fun loving person who never met a stranger. She loved going to the beach and traveling to spend time with family. Nancy had the gift of loving others well. She was generous with her time as she drove elderly neighbors to the doctor or cooked a meal for someone in need. Nancy’s passing will be felt by many.

Nancy leaves behind her four daughters, Carolyn Gardewine and husband Terry of Cape Coral, FL, Charlotte Conder and husband Eric of Grayson, GA, Jennifer Swank and husband Tim of Tampa, FL and Jill Stigers of Dieterich, IL; her six grandchildren, Nathan, Casey and Wyatt Cushman, Hadley Conder, Makalya and Aiden Stigers, and Morgan Swank; her two great grandchildren; and her special friend, Terry Cooley of Charleston, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Vincent Noffke.
