Glenn Dale Addis, 78, of Montrose, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 14 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Montrose, with burial in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the church with a 7 p.m. parish wake service. Donations may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church in Montrose. Bauer Funeral Home is assisting.

Glenn was born September 18, 1939 in Toulon, IL, the son of Orville and Lola Addis. He married Zona Goeckner on August 18, 1962; she passed away April 5, 2013. Glenn was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Glenn served as a member of the National Guard, co-owner of Teutopolis Locker Service in the mid 60’s with Larry McMahon, the Mayor of the Village of Montrose from 1973-1977, St. Francis Township Road Commissioner for many years, meat manager at Martin’s IGA, owner of Addis Grocery and Meats in Montrose, Dieterich Unit #30 Bus Driver and Bus Mechanic, Central Illinois Garden Tractor Pullers Association. During his retirement he enjoyed his passion for Cub Cadets, though many of his years were spent caring for his wife, Zona. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his early morning coffee groups.

Glenn is survived by his 3 sons, Rick (Lisa Ruholl) of Montrose, Greg (Donna) of Teutopolis, Tony (Lisa Strong) of Dieterich; daughter Becky (Roy) Jansen of Teutopolis; grandchildren Josh, Jason(Christene), Mitch, Tricia, Ryan (Holly), Lyle, Kayla (fiancé Caleb Wilson), Ian, Evan, Gavin; great grandchildren Grady, Maggie, Griffin, Trevelyn; his siblings, Mike (Louise) Addis, Mary (LaVerne) Moore, Leatha Wessels of Kewanee, Joe (Kathy) Addis of Valparaiso, IN, Sharon Dell of John Day, OR, Sandy Cantwell of Oneida, brother-in-law Larry (Betty) Goeckner.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Zona, his parents, daughter-in-law Lisa Addis, sisters Shirley Ludeen, Donna Fox, brothers Keith Addis and Richard Addis.
