Susan was born April 7, 1926 in Odin to Arthur and Mabel (Hicks) McGeehon. She married Morrison Haines April 11, 1942. She was a devout member of the Flora First United Methodist Church where she was a proud member of the United Methodist Women. Along with her dedicated service to her church, she also loved gardening. She would grow a vegetable garden every summer which she faithfully tended on a daily basis. Rose gardening also was a great love for Susie. When she wasn't outdoors, she enjoyed quilting. It gave her great joy to give her quilts to her children and grandchildren, who hold them so dear. For the past 25 years, Susie was able to spend her winter months in Florida, which she loved almost as much as her beloved St. Louis Cardinals, who she has cheered on for many years.
