Donald Lee Leidner, 30, of rural Vandalia, formerly of Patoka, passed away early Friday morning, May 4, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Barron Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Pratt Cemetery near Patoka, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time. For those who desire, memorials may be made to Donald's mother Brenda Leidner here at Donnell-Wiegand.

Donald Lee Leidner, the son of the late Donald Ray Leidner and Brenda Jean Cole Martin Leidner, was born January 29, 1982 in Greenville. He grew up in Patoka and attended Salem High School graduating there in their Special Needs Program.

Donald is survived by his mother of rural Vandalia, his maternal grandmother Ermagean Cole of Sandoval, four brothers Joshua (Amy) Martin of Vandalia, Jason (Susan) Martin of Altamont, Jeremy (Julie) Martin of O'Fallon, and Allen (Niki) Leidner of Vernon.

Donald is predeced in death by his father Donald Ray Leidner, his paternal grandparents: Thelma and Fred Leidner of Mulberry Grove, and his maternal grandfather Albert Cole of Sandoval.
