Freda Willms (88) of St. Elmo

Freda Willms, 88, of St. Elmo, Illinois died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Harry Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. Freda was born April 10, 1924 in Blackwell, Okla. to Clifford E. and Emma Farrel Carnes Masters. She married Arthur Neil Willms June 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death December 11, 1971. Freda was a member of the First United Methodist Church, St. Elmo and the Vit-Em-In Sunday School class. She was a member of the Fayette County Home Extension, had been a 4-H leader and a volunteer for blood drives. She was a homemaker and was retired from K-mart in Effingham.
Surviving are son, Lyndon (wife Rita) Willms of Murphysboro; daughters, Nancy (husband Les) Rabe of Champaign, Norma (husband Jeff) Baars of Charlestown, Mass.; Sarah (husband Scott) Morris of Pesotum; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brothers, Lawrence E. and Roy Masters and two grandchildren.
