Charles Andrew "Chick" Hille, 79 of Effingham, passed away at 8:53 a.m., Sunday, November 04, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral Services for Chick Hille will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery with military rites. Chick was born on April 22, 1933, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, the son of George and Elizabeth (Hoelscher) Hille. He married Rosemary Ruholl on September 26, 1956 in Teutopolis. She preceded him in death on March 13, 1993.

Chick was an Army Veteran and served in the military during the Korean War. He worked at Effingham Equity, retiring after 36 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, the N.R.A., Coon Hunters Club, Effingham V.F.W. Post #120 and he also worked in construction at Brumleve Milling.

Survivors include; 8 children; Tony (Cathy) Hille of Mason, Mark (Sandy) Hille of Neoga, Marie (Ron) Flood of Toledo, Patsy (Dean) Hotze of Teutopolis, Alice (Carl) Deters of Teutopolis, Mike Hille of Sigel, Joe (Julie) Hille of Effingham and Ellen (Gregg) Thies of Teutopolis. 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, and brother Leo Hille of Effingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosemary, 4 brothers; Clarence Hille of Teutopolis, George, Harold and Louis Hille of Effingham, 3 sisters; Florence Overbeck, Agnes Heuerman and Alice Hardiek all of Teutopolis.
