Kathryn L. Hartke, 68, of Teutopolis died at 3:18pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday, November 6, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery.  There will be a wake and rosary on Monday at 3pm with visitation immediately following until 7pm at the church.  Memorials may be made to ARC Community Support Systems.  www.bauerfh.com. 

She was born August 3, 1944 in Effingham, the daughter of Henry and Pauline (Niebrugge) Hoene.  She married Charles A. "Chuck" Hartke on August 10, 1963 and he survives.  She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the St. Francis Council of Catholic Women.  She was a former ARC Foundation board member, serving for 11 years.

Survivors include her husband Chuck of Teutopolis...son, Christopher Hartke and wife Beth of Teutopolis...daughter, Kimberly Deters and husband Patrick of Teutopolis...six grandchildren, Ryan and Jaelen Deters, and Rachael, Madeline, Anna and Jack Hartke...her mother, Pauline Hoene of Effingham...brother, Henry P. Hoene and wife Lois of Effingham...and two sisters, Dolores Kroeger and husband Charlie of Teutopolis and Bernice Dasenbrock of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry.
