Carl "Jump" Warner, 68, of rural Toledo died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL.

Carl was born in Clark County, IL the son of Clyde & Donna (Easton) Warner on October 21, 1943. He married Jonnie Matteson on May 18, 1968. Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years, son Jason wife Amy Warner of Effingham, IL; daughter Jennifer husband Gary Wellbaum of Ramsey, IL; Brother Don Warner of Greenup; Sisters Bonnie Brandenburg of Toledo, Judy Lewis of Greenup and Norma Stewart of Casey.;  Five grandchildren Faith and Hannah Wellbaum, Jacob and Ashlyn Warner and Kimberly Harshbarger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Leland and Ivan Warner and a sister Bernice Walsh.  Carl served his country in the Army from 1965-67; he owned and operated the Montrose Shell Station from 1969 to 1976. He then went to work as a welder at Blaw-Knox in Mattoon for 25 plus years. In 2004 he was hired on at Eastern Illinois University as a janitor.
