Pauline E. Roedl, 79, of Effingham formerly of Farina died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont with Rev. Joseph Simburger officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be in St.Clare Cemetery, Altamont. Memorials may be made to the Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund

Pauline was born on November 9, 1932 in St. Elmo, IL the daughter of Harry and Nellie (McGill) Koeberlein. She married Martin Edward Roedl on November 27, 1948 at St. Clare, he preceded her in death on August 8, 1996. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont and a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Rick Roedl and his wife Donna of Effingham, her daughters, Linda Roberts and her husband Lindell of Farina and Judy Smith and her husband Ray of Campbellsville, Kentucky, brother, Richard Koeberlein of Altamont, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Koeberlein and a sister Dorothy and a great grandson, Mason Lane.
