George J. "Jake" Bueker, 74, of rural Toledo, Illinois passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at his residence.

A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 27 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Montrose. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Burial will be in the St. Rose Cemetery in Montrose. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family c/o Barkley Funeral Chapel, Box 381, Greenup, IL 62428. George was born July 31, 1938 in Cumberland County to Aloysius and Frances (Jurgens) Bueker. He married Sandra Kay White April 24, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2002. George was a laborer and had worked for National Home Builders in Effingham. He was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Montrose.

He is survived by daughter, Connie Harris of Jewett; son, Chris Bueker of Toledo; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Willenborg of Neoga, Helen McKinney of Columbia City, Ind., Norma Otterson of Eau Claire, Wis., Clara Stewart of Helotes, Tex. and Joann Jamison of Teutopolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Leon; two grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.
