Lela "Lee" Unglesbee, 90, of Newton died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Heritage Woods in Rockford.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 26 at 2pm at Crain Funeral Home in Newton.  Visitation will be from noon to 2pm Sunday.  Burial in Plainfield Cemetery, Rose Hill.

She was born March 19, 1922 in Jasper County, the daughter of George E. and Nellie (Holmes) Addis.  She married Clifford Ramey in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1939.  She married Charles E. "Buck" Englesbee in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1982.  During the wartime years, she worked in a defense factory.  Following the war, she was a homemaker caring for her family.  She was a member of Central Christian Church in Newton, American Legion Auxiliary and the Jasper County Senior Center.  She loved her family, her friends, and the Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include her grandchildren Randy Ramey, Laurie Breit, Doreen Dowdakin, David Ramey and Steven Ramey...12 great-grandchildren...five great-great-grandchildren...and sister, Imogene Mahaffey of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents...her husbands Clifford Ramey and Charles "Buck" Unglesbee...son Gordon Ramey...great-grandson Lance Corporal Branden Ramey...brothers, Roy, Max, Donnie and Dean Addis...and sisters Vera Addis and Eloise Kerner.
