Robert B. "Bob" Turner, 89, of Ingraham died at 1:40am Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Flora Gardens Healthcare in Flora.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, at 11am at Ingraham Christian Church in Ingraham. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial with military graveside rites at Ingraham Cemetery. Memorials to Ingraham Christian Church Library, Clay County Hospice, or Flora Gardens Activity Fund.
He was born December 16, 1922 in Ingraham, the son of Homer and Cora (Fehrenbacher) Turner. He married Lois Myrna (Hastings) Turner on May 23, 1944 and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2004. He was a farmer and carpenter and worked in the oilfields. He was a WWII US Army veteran, a member of Ingraham Christian Church and the Clay City VFW Post and was a great caregiver for his wife Lois for 30+ years.
Survivors include sons, Tom Turner and wife Margaret of Kinmundy, Tim Turner of Ingraham, and Mark Turner and wife Maureena of Mt. Vernon...daughters, Gail Simer and husband Rich of Centralia and Anne Elledge of Portland, Oregon...brother-in-law, Murrell Johnston of Glasford...13 grandchildren...and 24 great-grandchildren.
