Dane H. "Buck" Guy, 87, of Laclede died at 10:48pm Friday, April 6, 2012 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, April 10, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Farina.  Burial with military graveside rites by the Edgewood and Altamont American Legion Posts will follow in Keen's Chapel Cemetery, rural Laclede.  Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood and from 10-11am at the church.  Memorials to Farina Ambulance or Fire Department and Keen's Chapel building fund.

He was born March 9, 1925 in Fayette County, the son of Glen and Helen (Rexwinkle) Guy.  He married Evelyn Storck on February 24, 1946. He was a retired farmer, member of the Friedens United Church of Christ, and a WWII US Army veteran.  He was on the LaGrove School Board for more than 20 years, a longtime Keen's Chapel trustee owner/operator of Buck's Deer Lodge, and was active in Boy Scouts, becoming an Order of the Arrow Vigil member, and earned a Silver Beaver Award.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years Evelyn Guy of Lutheran Care Center in Altamont...sons Brien Guy and wife JoAnn of St. Peter and Alan Guy and wife Dena of Farina...seven grandchildren...and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
