Ruth Agnes Schoonover, 89, of Louisville died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Graveside services will be 11am Saturday, July 12, at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville. Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations to Clay County Healthy Hearts.

She was born July 18, 1924 in Louisville to James Andrew and Irene Elizabeth (Harmon) Thompson. She married William H. Schoonover on November 8, 1942 in Old Monroe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. She worked at Flora Pavilion as a CNA and was a member of Louisville Baptist Church, helping with VBS at one time. She was a wonderful seamstress, being skilled at making dresses by hand, and loved to cook and try new recipes.

Survivors include sister, Nancy McGee and husband Joe of Louisville; nephew, Greg McGee and wife Christi of Louisville; niece, Tammy Hosselton and husband Loy of Clay City; great-nieces and great-nephews Andrew McGee, Dylan McGee, Josh McGee, Brock McGee, Casey Clagg, Aaron Hosselton, Jesse Hosselton and Eli Hosselton; eight great-great-nieces and three great-great-nepews.

She was preceded in death by her parents...her husband...and a son, Franklin.
