Lucille Tipsword, 84 of Brownstown, died at 2:40 PM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont. 

A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at C & A Pagel Funeral Home, St. Elmo with a committal will be at Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service. Memorials are requested to the family or Lutheran Care activities fund.

Lucille was born on April 7, 1927 in Waldron AR, the daughter of Irmin Lasiter and Audrey (Godsey). She married Vernon Tipsword and he preceded her in death.

She was retired from Crane Packing, Vandalia. Lucille enjoyed her grandchildren, crafts, crosswords, her pets, and the flower and vegetable gardens.
Surviving are her sons, James Oliver (special friend, Jan) Logue Jr. of St. James and Michael (Jo Ellen) Logue of Greenville, daughters, Connie (Dale) Roll of St. Elmo and Barbara (Bill) Hatcher of Cynthianna, IN, sister, Margaret Gough of Brownstown, 6 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Linda Barr and Audrey Ann Logue, in infancy.
