Don H. Blythe, 90, of Stewardson, passed away at 3:39 AM Sunday March 23, 2014 in Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday Mar. 26, 2013 in Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson. Pastor Kathy Lewis will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the service on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.

Don was born Nov. 1, 1923 in Sigel Twp., Shelby Co., IL, the son of Seth and Kathryn Ashenbrenner Blythe.
Don was a life long farmer. He was worked for many years with Ed Giesler as a farm hand and partnered with his brother, Ray Blythe, in their joint farming operation. For several years he served as a trustee of Sigel, Twp., Shelby County, IL.
Surviving are: brother, Ray (Carol) Blythe of Stewardson; half-sister Clara Elgin of Neoga, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Carl O. Blythe; half-brother Charles Hobson, and half-sisters; Opal Randle and Lucy Askins.
