Earl S. Loy, 80, of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away on March 5, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
 
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a. m. Monday, March 10th  at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a. m. also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Memorials can be made to the family for final expenses. Online condolences may be left at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
 
Earl was born on December 2, 1933 in Effingham, the son of William G. and Mary Elizabeth (Newkirk) Loy. He married Pearl M. Bernier on August 13, 1988 in Effingham.  Earl was retired from Howe Asphalt & Paving in Mattoon and, also served in the U. S. Army.
 
Survivors include his wife; Pearl, son; Louis "Allen" (Cheryl) Loy, daughters; Earlene (Denny) McLain of Effingham, Debra (Tom) Davis of Watson, Tami (Roy) Starr of AR. Step-son; Paul Knifley Jr. of AR, step-daughters; Rebecca (Jim) Jewell of Effingham, Karen (Ralph) Nix of Ingraham, Kathy (Mike) Brasel of Watson, Charlotte (Dave) Irvin of Dieterich, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister; Maxine Pontious, brothers; George Dale (Joyce) Loy, Walter Loy and Clifford (Rita) Loy all of Effingham.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; William, Glenn and Calvin Loy, sister; Dorcie Williams, step-grandson; Cody Nix, nephews; Terry Pontious and Marty Loy.
