Stock up for summer at the Friends of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library spring book sale from 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. Friday, May 1 and from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. Saturday, May 2 at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library, 712 Sixth Street. The book sale room is located on the second floor. Enter through the main entrance on 5th Street and follow the signs to the sale. The Library is handicapped accessible.

Hardcover books, audio books, DVDs and LPs are $2. Paperback books, children's books, music CDs, puzzles and games are 50¢. Members of the Friends of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library receive a 50% discount on their purchases. You can become a Friends member at the sale. For easier shopping, the books are sorted into categories such as Mystery, Romance, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Art, Travel, Hobbies & Crafts, History, Inspiration, Biography, Cook Books, Sports, Gardening, Home Improvement, General Non-fiction, General Fiction, Classics and Children's books.

All proceeds from the Friends' book sale supports programming at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library.
