Senior Education Ministries, Inc. will host "Spill the Beans" Lunch  at the Effingham Senior Center on Thursday, January 8  from 11am-1pm with a Tax Preparer Featuring; Brett Seagle -Seagle Tax and Financial Service and Alec D. Ring- Ring Financial Services. Patrick Johnson-Johnson Funeral Home and Marjorie Hopkins-Author of Best Seller: "Dying to Meet Him"

This is a free event that welcomes the local senior public to getting to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary brunch. Just bring a questioning mind, an appetite and perhaps a friend. A complimentary meal of Beans and Cornbread will be provided courtesy of: Johnson Funeral Home.

Author Marjorie E. Hopkins, will add some perspective and levity to the final certainty in life... As the wife of a funeral director, she got a much closer glimpse of death and, in consequence, life. Through this time, and while praying for years about her own fear of death, Marjorie overcame and was drawn to the conclusion that humans avoid thinking about and planning for this one unavoidable event in life. There will be an opening prayer and Veterans in attendance will be recognized for their service and dedication to our country followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to start off the program.
