The Christmas Bus AUDITIONS

This heartwarming musical comedy tells the story of a rollicking holiday at Peaceful Valley Orphanage. The Director, Mrs. Frump, plans for the children to spend Christmas Eve with local families. As they set off in an old bus to deliver the orphans, they are pursued by the "busybodies" from the Board of Trustees and suspicious Sheriff Snodgrass. Along the way they pick up a lovesick traveling troubadour returning home to his girlfriend who may or may not welcome him. This ride turns into a special adventure Mrs. Frump and the youngsters didn't expect.This story is one that the whole family will always remember! 

Show dates are Saturday, December 6, 7:00 p. m. and Sunday, December 7, 2:00 p. m. at the Effingham Performance Center. Auditions are scheduled at Chestnut Music on Monday August 11 and Tuesday August 12 at 6:00 p. m. The cast of singer/actors includes 5 adult females, 2 adult males, 4 boys, and 4 girls. Children ages range from 6-18. There is also 1 male non-singing part. Please come with a prepared vocal selection on CD or sheet music. An accompanist will be available. Speaking parts will be provided at the audition. All rehearsals are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. beginning September 15th the performance (Dec. 1-5) from 6:00 p. m. until finished. If you have ever thought of being on stage, here is your chance to perform on the premier stage of Central and Southern Illinois for a most generous and enthusiastic audience!
