Community Calendar

A walk for Willow Long will be held on Sunday, October 20 at 3 p.m. at Community Park's Red Pavillion. The event begins at 1 p.m. to bid on items for the auction and the walk steps off at 3:00pm with the destination being Willow's grave site. The cost for registering for the walk is $15, and includes a shirt (FCFS day of event) If you preregister by Monday, October 7, the cost is $11 and you're guaranteed a T-shirt in your size. Preregister by emailing walkforwillow13@Gmail.com For non-walkers, bring lawn chairs. Fifty percent of the funds that are raised will go towards Willow Park and the other fifty percent will go towards the Fire Departments who greatly assisted with their searches. Books are being collected to donate to South Side School in memory of Willow Long from now until the day of the event. Make sure books are in good condition for grades first and second. Drop off locations for the books are Dairy Queen, Kera Cutz, and Rural King. There will be a silent auction and a bake sale starting at 1pm. There will be bounce houses and face painting for children. There will be a balloon release at the end of the walk, wear purple and bring a balloon.
