Community Calendar

The Altamont Memorial Day Parade will take place Monday, May 27 at 10 a.m. The parade route will begin at Altamont High School, proceed west on Division St. and then north on Main St. It will end at the Union Cemetery where the Altamont VFW will have a ceremony honoring fallen veterans. The parade will line up beginning at 9 a.m. at the Altamont High School parking lot. There will be a registration booth at the high school parking lot. No political campaigning will be done during the parade and ceremony.

Guest speaker will be Altamont School Superintendent Jeff Fritchnitch. Afterwards, a luncheon will be held at the Altamont VFW honoring veterans. All are invited.
