Effingham County Humane Society Fourth Annual Holiday Open House will be held Saturday, December 1 from noon to 4 p.m. at the shelter's facility, the former Funkhouser School at 12073 N. 1000th Rd., Effingham. Pet and family photographs with Santa will be available as in past years. The Open House will feature tours of the shelter. Enjoy the new Brick Memorial Garden at the front of the building. Cats and dogs who are waiting for their forever homes can be visited and enjoyed. Refreshments will be served.
