Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is partnering with Forefront to host “Board 101: What’s Being on a Board All About?” on Tuesday, April 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Roy Schmidt Honda (1705 W Fayette Avenue, Effingham). Registration is $15 for Forefront members ($25 for non-members) and can be accessed online at www.enrichingourcommunity.org/Events.

Serving on a nonprofit board can be very fulfilling, and stellar board members are in high demand. This training will prepare interested volunteers to take on the challenge of effectively serving on a board and making a difference. This training will explore how to find the right board, the rules, roles and expectations of board members, three things all board members must do, and more.

Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is a regional 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that manages permanent and non-permanent assets for the long-term benefit of communities in southeastern Illinois. For more information, contact Amanda Lessley, President/CEO, at 217.342.5409 or amanda@enrichingourcommunity.org.
