Essential Oils for Cooking Program Hosted by Effingham Public Library

The Effingham Public Library will host a program on cooking with essential oils at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library.

Aromatherapist Sara Holmes, who has over 10 years of experience in healthcare, will present information on essential oils, including essential oils that are useful in the kitchen.

“For many, essential oils have become part of their health routine, but many may not be aware of the health benefits of cooking with some of these oils,” said Programming Outreach Manager Catherine Bailey. “Sara will teach us which essential oils can be incorporated into our cooking.”

Sara Holmes is the owner and principal therapist of Botanical Healing Arts LLC in Tuscola and of Sara’s Sanctuary at Lake Sara in Effingham. She is a registered aromatherapist, a licensed massage therapist and a certified pediatric massage therapist.

Holmes has a Bachelor’s Degree in organizational management, is a contributing writer for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, and teaches at several community colleges throughout Central Illinois. Her professional memberships include the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists.

Registration is required for this event.
