The Effingham Fire Department will be hosting its annual Open House Sunday, October 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Central Fire Station, located at 505 W. Fayette Avenue in Effingham. This year's events will include Station Tours, the Fire Safety House, Fire Extinguisher Demonstrations, the Junior Combat Challenge, the Effingham City Telecommunication's 911 Call Station, Photo Opportunities and a Kid's Raffle. The Effingham Fire Department also will conduct a live extrication demonstration.
