Community Calendar

A Parenting Seminar, hosted by Altamont Christian Church, will be held Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13. Friday will have a catered meal at 6 p.m. with the seminar from 7-9 p.m. Saturday there will be coffee and donuts at 7:30 a.m. with the seminar from 8 a.m. to noon. Gary Reed, with St. Louis Christian College and Christian Family Services, will hold the seminar. Topics include emotional and physical changes of teenagers, effective parenting styles and dealing with the rebellious years of teens. Cost is $20 per couple or $10 per individual. The catered meal Friday will include lasagna, breadsticks and salad.
