Poshard to headline event in Clay City

Former Congressman and past SIU President Glenn Poshard will be the keynote speaker hosted by the Clay County Democratic Central Committee Sept. 15.

The event will begin 6:30 p.m. at the Community Building Clay City. The event is free to the public.

Also at the event will be gubernatorial candidate Bob Daiber and representatives from the Chris Kennedy, J.B. Pritzker, and Daniel Biss campaigns. Those individuals will be joined by a representative Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza.

Candidates for the Illinois 15th congressional district will also be in attendance. They include Carl Spoerer, Anthony March and Kevin Gaither.

Cynthia Givens, candidate for the 109th Illinois House seat will also be at the meeting.
